@Kaol: thanks@wanderlust: I had to do that last night to make it stop hurting enough to let me eventually get to sleep for an hour or two....
seems to be slowly getting a bit better
have a doctor's appointment this evening though, so hopefully I can get him to make me a syringing appointment before the weekend!
