I've decided it's the time of year for roast potatoes with a roast.

Indeed, but I was in a nearby market town which has some fantastic local produce, including new potatoes which I love and won't be available for much longer. They're best served boiled, skins on as they're so floury. I don't mind them roasted though,as they fluff up beautifully and give those lovely crispy edges.
