Well,
meringues by themselves are a bit dry, yes (although if you make 'em properly, they shouldn't be crumbly and should be like toffee in the middle). Cream and fruit, that's the way to go.

Stop it, cos now I want some Jelly Tots (and no, not for that!).

Edit: Thanks to DiT's capitalisation, I now have visions of a gigantic chocolate eclair lumbering down Borough High Street.
