I rather think Joeseph Heller managed it:The US Airforce wouldn't allow you to fly bombing missions if you were insane; if you didn't mind flying bombing missions you must be insane; if you didn't want to fly them you must be sane and therefore it was OK for you to fly them.
If that's not an ironic paradox, then I'm a flying Dutchman
