thanks. He had his anaesthetic this morning when I got in and was under for about 25 mins, then took a long time waking up. He did last time as well, so we thought he might just be sleepy all day today, so were checking on him every half hour or so. He went into cardiac arrest while he was waking up and we'd already agreed that we weren't going to use heroic measures, so I got him out of that without using medication, got his heart beating again and then he died in his sleep at 5pm.
Edit: I know he's just a hedgehog, but we'd all grown attached to him and looked after him for two and a bit weeks after it initially looked like he was going to cark it on the first day. So it was a somber afternoon.
