I have a masters degree in civil engineeringwhich led to a job with an engineering conultancy.
civil engineering covers a broad range of stuff and I got a taste for the modelling stuff during uni, so got into that. found I've got a knack for it, so I'm now one of the top bods in the UK branch of our company.
doesn't lend itself to huge amounts of reward though :-)
as with anything, it's not as interesting as it sounds. I spend a lot of time fiddling with data in Excel.
