Chips and gravy.Didn't ever understand that.
I am from the south but moved to Manchester at the age 18.
When I first bought some chips and the woman said 'do you want gravy' I genuinly didn't understand what she was saying. She must have thought I was a complete pillock asking her to repeat herself about five times in my cut glass accent.
