Hammersmith is a shitpit. What on earth attracts you to there?

His lover of Hammering men with the surname Smith in the bottom.

I was being facetious, soz
I only ever go down to London for either work stuff which is just same day stuff, or for gigs/ clubs, in which case me and my mates stay at a hotel in Holborn. Easy enough to walk to from Kings Cross.

Last time I was down for recreation we went to Shoreditch, Brick Lane then on to Fabric in Farringdon.

I really like London, it's a great place to visit. Pretty sure it's very different to living there.

Were you stalking Boyce the last time you were down?

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 21:46, Reply)
Nah, but we did go to Monty's the bar.
Was that not where he had his birthday bash a couple of years ago?

Talking of which, is Sportscow still lamenting the loss of his car allowance?

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 21:55, Reply)
£300 a month wasn't it.
He could probably afford to go to work in a new tuk tuk everyday if he wanted.
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 21:58, Reply)
he was droning on about it earlier this week, yeah
If he actually leaves his job I'll buy you a pint, that's how much I reckon he'll suck it up and stay there.
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 21:58, Reply)
Now is perhaps not the best of times to be looking for jobs

I dunno, I've just been through a proper purple patch.
Depends on your sector I suppose.
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 22:07, Reply)
I actually agree with you there
My niche is within the construction industry, so I'm kinda fucked for a while
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 22:10, Reply)
Construction's doing okay
Maybe not in Nottingham though.

Financial advice sector is doing very very well right now.
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 22:12, Reply)
The constuction is all in new development and social housing
that's the magnolia of the building trade, it's not really what knowledge and speciality covers, I'll leave that to the wet behind the ears post grads with a CIPS.

I'm getting my pension done soon.
It's just been sitting in default funds for years. Been recommended a guy who does pension transfer advice for 2% initial 0.75% ongoing.

When did you last have yours looked at?
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 22:22, Reply)
The way I live my life I find it hard to believe that I will make retirement age, still I'm insured for a whole heap

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 22:25, Reply)
yer I need to sort out Life & CIC as well innit
You can access your pension fund at 55, so you could take your 25% PCLS and put the rest into drawdown with no income taken. It'll easily recover the 25% by the time you hit 60.
(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 22:26, Reply)
CIC's dig you

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 22:26, Reply)
Let's hope not.

I usually stay at either the Blakemore near Hyde Park or the Megaro apartments just across from Kings Cross

(, Thu 6 Feb 2014, 21:47, Reply)
yeah the Holborn hotel is because my mate's brother in law's mum is some hotshot hotel owner so we get dirt cheap rooms.
Last time we only paid something like £30 for the room.
