It can and it willThere is a shop in Helmsley, North Yorks that sells the most violent mustard I've ever scoffed. Once the assault has passed it really works and lets you appreciate layers in flavour you'd not noticed before.

I was given a jar of horseradish mixed with English mustard. Sounded quite good in principle. Tasted awful. (
