Humane traps are useless
unless you are very very strict about keeping ALL food in cupboards and fridges and so on and hoovering regularly.
We've got a mouse problem at work, but have to wait til one of the nurses leaves next week to call out proper pest control as she'll get upset.
Snap traps are evil and should be outlawed, but I'm all for the poison ones instead when you have an infestation.
For yours I would recommend sprinkling peppermint oil in your room or putting it (diluted with a bit of water) in an oil burner. It has to be pure essential oil or it wont work though. They hate the smell and wont come near you again.
Sorry for rant, but dealing with mice infestations in London aren't fun when you have a bunch of inspections about to happen.
