I'll sit quietly and remenisce about a long sunny Sunday afternoon we spent......Drinking in a 'working men's club' (don't know how to spell the word in Ukrainian) with a cross-section of people. Young guys & Girls that wanted to practice their English, war veterans with some heart-rending stories of battles and occupation and just ordinary people who wanted to know what it was like in the UK.
One of those times where the day passed slowly and I counted my blessings to have been born free and relatively wealthy, sitting and shooting the breeze with foreigners who were just people with their own stories to tell.

I really liked Kiev when I went there. Particularly sitting in the early evening sunshine, playing chess with some bloke I'd never met before in a beer garden whilst sipping a pint or two. (
