I turned up at the Maynard in Crouch Endat just before noon on a Saturday and crashed into the door. Assuming it was stuck, I proceeded to wrench at it - I must have looked like a desperate alcoholic, which I wasn't cos I always have booze at home.
The man had to come out and tell me they weren't open. I stood outside until they were.
Lunchtime drinking. Always OK, whatever the circumstances.
