Indeed.Google is your friend. Without it I would never have found out the meaning of FTW, or who Joey Deacon is, or why people hate Clacton. As an American among Brits, it can be extremely confusing- but Google answers all, eventually.
Ditto on Kthnxbi and other oddball expressions that pop up. "fnar", for example, means For No Apparent Reason. Puzzled the hell out of me the first few times I saw it...
