@TGB - Your mention of the Marina brought back memories of when I was at high school and my pal Andrew, who was a year older than I, used to occasionally give me a lift in his dad's Morris Ital.
As you'll know, this was a BL-reworked Marina, and possibly a worse car than the original. He was a sensible enough driver, but we still almost managed to get killed passing a lorry when the engine started to cough a bit!
