Well when you compare the prices to Londonthen it will be cheaper.
I'm from near Sherborne and trains to London run every 2 hours, and take 2 hours. That is now considered commuter belt by some.
*edit* I'm sure you have thought of this but people who can prove they are local can buy new build houses cheaper there.
