Does she haveall the music files on the computer? If so, she can copy them as data files to a CD or DVD, then copy them onto the new machine.
Sadly, iTunes is an eeevil program that will not allow you to copy from an iPod to a computer. It also seems to have erased a lot of files from my PC, though I told it not to sync with it. Fortunately I still have the CDs so it's not a big problem, but still...
