Re firewire / computer to computer LAN connectionsI don't know if it's different for firewire, but if you're going to network two computers straight into one another, you probably need to get a very specific sort of LAN cable - they're called crossover cables - as the normal cables are designed for a computer-to-network hub connection, not computer-to-computer.
