@Mrs 'binHiya honey. I didn't go in - I phoned though. The Head of Department was suitably *ahem* chastised, and actually agreed with me 100%. The following day, the HoD visited the class and made it clear that reading for pleasure was always going to be appreciated.
Score one for me, I think!
