I wouldn't worry. If by some unimaginably improbable chance the LHC did create a black hole big enough to swallow up the earth, you're not going to get any time to worry about it. You'd be over the event horizon and compressed to super density before you even knew it.
As would most of the solar system, then a while later, quite a chunk of the galaxy in our vicinity.
So there's not really any cause for concern. Seriously. It's not going to happen. You'd be better off worrying about the credit crunch, the possibility of war with the Russians, religious extremist terrorists and why Lewis Hamilton received a 25s penalty yesterday.
