Ah balls
I just realised that I have a number of books out from the local public library which are overdue.

Is there anything I can do to avoid myself paying a hefty sum, or do I be an adult about the whole thing and pay up?

Around here,
at least once a year they have a thing where the library forgives all fines if you go in and tell them you have a fine there. Do you have anything like that where you are?

Or you could return the books in the night-drop then not go back until you are desperate to borrow more books and have some ready cash.

I don't think there are any amnesties
and there is no night book drop either.

The plot thickens.

I see
Could I perhaps go back whilst wearing my trusty balaclava?

DON'T GO BACK
They have cameras of your face!

Go on the run, now. Save yourself while there is still time.
