As my mate said "Don't you hate it when you say something dickish, trying to be funny, and people miss it and just think you're a dick?"I have that regularly.
The other day at a Christmas party I was telling someone in (What I thought was) an obviously over-egged manner about how I'd accidentally filed some of the A-Run papers ... with the B-Run papers!
They proper stared at me, made their excuses and left.
Maybe it's just that I have to stand quite close to people in order to smell them properly.
