I often wonder how muchof music is assigned to a specific genre to try and get "cool" marks. If a pop band split up and solo artists emerge they always seem to want to be classified as "rock" rather than pop.
I guess as modern society is so obsessed by brand marketing and image that people probably read far too much into classification.
*shrugs* I am listening to Kelly Clarkson now. I like what I likes :)
