Mrs Lthrowing down stairs does seem easier to arrange, but perhaps a little drastic.
TGB, I made an arse of myself once calling out an engineer 'cos my boiler was "broken". Turns out the big hole in the ground outside with a gas board tent over it should have given me a clue that the gas might be off .....
