Save your money and teach yourself to drink Vladivar :DOr get Russian Standard, that's pretty damn good for the price you pay.
By the time you've faffed around with filters, it's not worth the hassle.
EDIT: The vanilla pod vodka is excellent! I've sampled it first-hand, works excellently, takes the harsh edge off, and tastes much smoother, overall. And of vanilla.
