If people are stupid enough torun out in front of cars then they deserve to be hit.
Some drunk fuelled chavvy bastard once jumped out in front of me and yelled as I didn't hit him because "I need to sue somebody innit for the money innit" Sadly this story is true and makes me fear for society.
