Gladiator's ready!
*cursing slightly, he tightens the straps of his leather breastplate, feeling the pressure increase on his bruised ribs. With a quiet resolve, he picks up his weapon, feeling the familiar weight and grooves of the pole, allowing his hand to gently caress up and down it's length. A smile bubbles up from the pit of his stomach to his face as he grips the shaft tightly, remembering the good times he's had with this, his most dearest of possessions.*

*His double-entendre-ridden reverie is interrupted by a sudden explosion of pain and blood, and he collapses clutching what used to be his face. As his trident falls despondently to the floor, he peers hazily through his one remaining eye, to see Kaol cackling, swinging a spiked ball and chain around his head.*
