What I done gone wrote

Hi,
Last Friday my wife and I went away for the weekend. Before we left the apartment, we emptied our bins and I took the large bag down to the basement level as it was too big for the chute. I left the bin bag next to a congregation of tall purple linen/rubbish trucks which are used by the cleaners when they make up the rooms following check out. When we moved in to the building, these trucks were full of festering rubbish bags so I figured it was a safe bet to leave it there.
Imagine my surprise when, upon returning to the apartment on Sunday evening, there was a rubbish bag against the wall opposite our doorway! I didn't really register it at the time, but this morning our doorbell was rung while I was in the shower. By the time I got to the door, there was no-one in sight. However, the rubbish bag that had previously been opposite our doorway was now directly in front of the door. It smelt a little funky, but I remain doubtful that the organisms inside had developed sufficiently to move the bag and ring our doorbell too.
Feeling a little put out by this perplexing situation, I went to the concierge desk clutching the strangely-mobile waste sack. No-one seemed to know anything about how it had returned to its original home.
Truly, this is a mystery worthy of the X-Files.
In all seriousness though, I think it's pretty likely that this bag was brought back to the apartment by a member of staff, either the concierge on duty on Saturday or a cleaner. It's an incredibly petty thing to do, I'm sure it would have been easier for the perpetrator to take the bag to the correct bins, assuming that's why it was returned in the first place. If the bag was not meant to be left next to these rubbish trucks, a note under the door would have sufficed.
If it happens again, I may decide to restore balance to the situation by taking the rubbish to the concierge desk and emptying it all over it. I am leaving the country on Saturday after all :-)
I realise I have rambled somewhat, so if you could find a way to word this appropriately for the attention of the building management, I would be most grateful.
Kindest regards,
chart cat
