@LustyApocryphal story. Abbreviated.
A cardiac consultant at an Aberdeen hospital, one Mr Cockburn, was due to give a talk at a dinner. The girl on the door pronounced his name phonetically, so he corrected her.
When it came to the time for his talk, the girl stood up to introduce him, and got all flustered. So she announced to the waiting audience, "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our guest for the evening, Mr Heartburn, who is a cock specialist from Aberdeen!"
