HimjimThe .45 (I assume .45 ACP) is fine at close range, does very bad things to whoever it hits, but the muzzle velocity isn't much cop.
A .357 Magnum (which is just a beefed up .38 Special) will outrange it, and crack an engine block apparently but is really too long to fit into a semi-automatic, which is why short fat rounds like the 9mm Para, .40, and .45 still survive.
(Ignoring such sillies as the .44 Automag and .44/.50 Desert Eagle as you needs wrists of steel and they weigh about as much as a Range Rover)
