Well, the colcannon turned into a bit of an epic. I've just nommed three sossidges and half a frying pan full of bubble and squeaky colcannon with crispy bits. And as I opened a bottle of red wine just to add a splash to the mushroom and onion gravy, it would have been remiss of me not to drink it. The room is now warm and toasty, the fire roaring away.
