Die Welle / The Wave
Did anyone else see this as yet? If not - it comes HIGHLY recommended; I went to see it Friday evening and was blown away by it.

it looks interesting
but i worry it won't live up to the other german film 'das experiment', which was pretty brutal.

Das Experiment
Interestingly, both based on US experiments that had to be cut short because of human behaviour. Hmm.
Not particularly brutal this one, other than the final sequences, which I won't spoil for you...

Hello Edmund!
Indeed, Kaol and I watched this together and really enjoyed it.
I now want to read the book and see the differences; I thought it was really interesting that Germany decided to take this on. I also especially enjoyed the scenes in the classroom when they were first discussing issues of autocracy and nationalism.
And aside from all the issues and messages, it was was also well acted and very watchable.
