I think it depends on the subject
I left uni 5 years ago now, and it was blindingly obvious to me that as a science/engineering student I got a pretty raw deal - 33 timetabled hours every week, compared to the 5/6 hours that some of my mates had.

Mind, I had the last laugh - I didn't have much trouble finding a job once I'd left, whereas there's a good few of my arts-subject friends who are still temping.
