a poem from d'aul country for m'ladyMy threadbare suit has seen better days
and my nose and belly are bulbous
My shoes are worn and my socks dont match
and my back is as crocked as my knees
Yet I'd offer it all if only to please
if only I thought I might catch
a moment as fleeting and wondrous
as that which would find me alone in your gaze.
