I would just like to share a concept I hope will catch on. On Live at the Apollo Jimmy Carr just said that having a minute's silence to remember monumental fuckups and tragedies is a bit crap, and suggested an alternative way for the nation to show their feelings - ten seconds of tutting, possibly punctuated with irritated sighs. He got the audience to do it, and it truly conveyed the sentiments much better.
