In the interest of balance.........I ought to point out that gambling helped me through university. I only had a meagre grant and little time for a job (course was very demanding). So I gambled my way through university. Fruit machines, poker, horses etc. I consider myself EXTREMELY lucky that I didn't have a bad loss during those 3 years, but I did accept that it was very dangerous what I did.
Then, I had my poker incident and never gambled again.
