@SamI am aware of the X-Type/Mondeo relationship. in fact, I own an X-type and I love it!
The salient piece of information which people always forget is that although the powertrain is lifted from a Mondeo, Jaguar worked on it to make it better. The ride quality is superb and handling is brilliant!
Genetically speaking, humans are 96% the same as a chimpanzee, but it's that 4% which makes the difference. :O)
