@CheYup, that's the one. I had read the story many years before, so I knew roughly how it went- but seeing it acted was altogether different. It had a huge wallop for me as all at once I understood exactly what he was saying, and it hit me in an unexpectedly powerful way.
I like that collection, but that story is the true gem.
