In a tenuous link
I had a phonecall from my grandad on Saturday morning. It went something like this:

Rubberduck: Hello?
Grandad Duck: Hello Rubberduck. It's grandad Duck here.
RD: Hi GD, how are you?
GD: I'm in a bit of a pickle. Can you pop over and help me sort it out?
RD: What sort of pickle?
GD: Well, I've managed to get a tape stuck in the video recorder and I can't seem to get it out.
RD: Ah - I see. Next time I'm passing, I'll pop in and get it out for you.
GD: Errr... can you come over now...?
RD: I'm a little busy at the moment, but I could probably drop by later.
GD: Well I need you to come over before your grandma gets back...
RD: Errr...
GD: You see. It's a porn video and your grandma would hit the roof...

Needless to say, I went round straight away, armed with a screwdriver and extracted Mature Euro Mothers vol. 3 (or something like that) from his VCR. The things you do to help a relative in need....

The guy's 87. Full credit to him that he can still... err... function, as it were...
