It will work out ok, you just have to plead poverty and they can't MAKE you pay anything you can't afford, no matter how much they try. Even debt collection companies can't. There are rules they have to obey. I've lost count of the number of scary letters and phonecalls I got, and eventually realised that it's all bluff. They don't want to get into trouble. It's a pain in the arse to keep having to sort out, but nothing to worry about.
