Wow.....
....what a predicament! I'd be careful for the following 3 reasons:

1. Don't go demanding too much. Because the company isn't doing that well, you may back your boss into a corner.

2. I don't know the situation in the US, but in the UK, jobs are thin on the ground and there's much more competition for the jobs which are around (Hence, companies will pay less).

3. Ask yourself whether you can support yourself as a full time student (No student jokes here, please. I was one and they're jolly productive members of society!). Maybe you could go part-time at the job? That way you can do your course AND your boss can keep you?

On the whole, I hope you can find a mutually beneficial arrangement. But whatever the final picture is, as long as it keeps you on B3ta, that's a good enough start! :O)
