Blimey!
So....2 night ago I sent my boss my resignation, and as you know we had breakfast yesterday.
He refused to accept the resignation, conceded that I'm not suited for a sales role, and is today firing the office manager so I can get back into admin. So, not only will I be his executive assistant (as I was before my leave), I'll also be the office manager with several underlings. Woo!

That's great!
I feel slightly sorry for the person being fired though :(

EDIT: if she can easily support herself though, then that does make a difference.

Hahaha
somebody will be jobless! -and they might even have bills to pay and children to support too!

Brilliant.

Woo for you, but poor office manager person, I hope they're ok.

The office manager
sold her business 3 years ago for about 2.5 million dollars. The boss wanted to fire her 4 months ago, and my resignation just forced the issue.

FIRE THAT UGLY, RICH BITCH NOW
Seriously, and then I'll marry her.

In view of the above
I have no reservations in saying "Well done you".

Why do people who don't need the money work? If they get bored, they can always do voluntary stuff instead of taking a job someone else could have.

I also thought the same
until I read the replies. YAY for you getting your job back and underlings to boss around too :)
