Sadly, you will find
that many people do not observe armistice day at all. Walk down the street today and see how few people are wearing poppies.

I feel a bit guilty just having posted at 11.01, but a lot of folk don't even realise the significance of the day.

To be fair, WWI is not of direct relevance to people these days, as there are only 4 veterans left. But there are still conflicts around the globe, and we probably all know of someone who's in Iraq, or Afghanistan at the moment.
