You need a keyto open it from the inside?!? What happens if there's a fire? Do you search the flames for the keys?
I knew someone who insisted on having their back door done like that in case someone broke the glass and just reached through to unlock it. As it's a French door with glass top to bottom, if they did that it wouldn't slow them down- they'd just step through the opening from the broken glass.
