Antivirus, schmantivirus
Hello there everyone.

Firstly I'd like to thank you all for taking an interest!

The state of play, unfortunately is that Antivirus Pro 2009 is still on my laptop.

I managed to download Ad-Aware, update and run it. It did seem to say it had eradicated Antivirus Pro 2009, but it was quite evident that the problem still existed. I can't run Spybot. When I click on it nothing happens. I can't re-install it because I make the necessary connection to the Spybot site. I've downloaded and installed Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, but as with Spybot, nothing happens when I try to run the program.

I'm at a loss what to do, to be honest. I feel as though anything I try to run to weed out this thing will not be allowed to run.
