^ This sounds so, so familiar.They turn up, complain about how "scummy" where I'm living is, no matter how nice it is, tell me off for dyeing my hair, tell me off for not being size six, and then take me out to dinner whether I want to go or not.
I then have to "show granny" every single little thing I own, from my work pass to my clothes to my laptop so she can say it's all "very nice" in the most uninterested way imaginable.
