If,Whilst stumbling down la ramblas at 3a.m. you are asked the time by a couple of friendly (looking) locals, feel free to comply.
However, be wary of them attempting to shake your hand, put their arm around you to say thanks, and fishing in your pocket to steal your wallet containing 100 euros, your driving license and your bank card.
