@lucyUsually the fuse box cover has a little legend on it detailing which fuses serve which circuits. It would be unusual for the cigarette lighter socket to have its own circuit, so check to see if everything else is working and if you find something that's not, chances are it's the same fuse.
Or just get Mr VP to do it!
