Eating Less by Gillian Riley.
If you know you overeat and are somewhat compulsive about it, this book will make a lot of sense to you.
Edit: reading through the replies... exercise is all well and good, and I recommend it for general wellbeing, but if you eat a lot of rubbish and too much fat/carbs, then exercise to lose weight, you're putting a more stress on your body than you need.
Controlled eating and light exercise will see you through.
