you're right, it isn't the samebut a line has to be drawn when it comes to people having beliefs and whether or not they will affect their job. Particularly when those jobs include upholding the law or teaching.
edit: I'm not entirely sure myself whether I think people in jobs such as those who appear on that list should be fired. I can't come to a decision.
