On Saturday
a man dressed as a policeman waggled his gun at me. He wanted me to let him into the building I'd just left, so I asked to see some ID - he said 'the uniform and gun ought to be enough'. Being British, and therefore wary of gun waggling nitwits, I let him into the building he wanted into.

I told one of my colleagues this earlier today, and was told that I should have demanded to see ID, and not let him in, as it's a crime to waggle a gun at me - therefore I have just spent the best part of this morning talking to the university police, and will be speaking to more of them later.

But what the fuck else was I supposed to do? If someone waves a gun at you, do you tell them to piss off, demand to see better ID, or do exactly what they want you to do?

Bloody America.

You did right!

Once while working in a chip shop, an angry man with a pokey pocket hopped over the counter and demanded I open the till.

'Ping', went the till.

Im not in the hero business.
Not for some fat fucks profits.

my friend was working in the Co-Op
when she was held up at knife point and of course she emptied the till, fuckers are insured anyways.

Next day she called in sick because she was all shook up from the experience.

They bollocked her for opening the till and then sacked her for not showing up to work without a good excuse.

cops and guns
In the police force is a well disciplined, organised, professional, and have a good history of not shooting innocent bystanders to death- such as , ermmmm, top of my head, NOrway. Then I tend to be a little passive aggressive/ annoying towards coppers.
If on the oher hand the police force is desreputable, ill-organised and full on "gun waggling" officers lets say, Zimbabwe (no offence to anyone). I tend to creep like fuck. Call me MR Sycophant.

From the little I kno of the States it would depend a lot on where you were, and how likely it is you could run into the same officer.

What you should have done
was to remove the bullet proof vest hidden within your back lower left molar, then jabbed him in the throat, taken the gun from him and shouted, "Aha! You sir are a cad!"

Which any good Englishman would have done.

*Tsk*

I thought everyone knew that!

;)
